Psalm 122 NIV
I. There is ____________ found in gathering in God’s house.
I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem. Psalm 122:1-2 NIV
II. There is _________________ and _____________________ in God’s people.
Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. That is where the tribes go up—the tribes of the LORD—to praise the name of the LORD according to the statute given to Israel. There stand the thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Psalm 122:3-5 NIV
III. We are _________________ to ____________ for peace and ____________ the Church’s good.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity. Psalm 122:6-9 NIV
✅ Life Application Challenge:
• Anticipate worship with expectation. Don’t wait for the music to move you, come already rejoicing.
• Celebrate the blessing of community. David says, “Our feet are standing in your gates.” Worship isn’t a solo act; it’s a shared experience.
• Value spiritual unity over personal preference. God has called us to be one church under one name.
• Engage in worship intentionally. Worship is not a concert; it’s a response to God’s greatness.
• Trust God’s order and authority.
• Pray regularly for your church, for its health, unity, mission, and future.
• Be a promoter of peace. In a divided world, we all must model reconciliation and grace.
• Invest in your church’s future, your time, your gifts, your generosity. It all matters.
• Ask yourself: “Do I bring joy, unity, and peace into the house of the Lord, or do I come only to consume?”
